Atobrah Deborah

DEBORAH ATOBRAH - RESEARCH FELLOW

Deborah Atobrah is a Research Fellow at the Institute of African Studies. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Ghana Business School, and an Mphil and a Ph D from the Institute of African Studies, University of Ghana. Dr Deborah Atobrah has also obtained post graduate certificates in "Illness and Disabilities Studies", and "Globalization and Health" in 2008 and 2010 respectively, from the Bergen Summer Research Schools in Norway.

She teaches at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

Her main research interests are in the Anthropology of Health, Disease and Illness, Gender and Family, Reproduction and Sexualities, and Care, Globalization and Development.

Dr. Atobrah is currently the seminar coordinator of the IAS.
