To AAPC Participants:

We would like to first thank you for your contributions to making the 60th Anniversary of the All-African Peoples’ Conference a success and for your commitment to ensure that the AAPC lives on beyond December 2018.  At the closing ceremony we announced that we would produce a series of dissemination documents including but not limited to a final report, a statement of issues and recommendations and academic publications.  A few months ago, we were able to release the final report and statement of issues and recommendations. (these can be accessed on our website (http://ias.ug.edu.gh/).

The conference secretariat is excited to announce that we are launching the dissemination component of the project; we are pleased to invite you to participate in the following opportunities:

Conference Proceedings: The conference invites participants to send a two-page summary of their presentation to be included in the conference proceedings.  The conference proceedings will also include the full papers of our opening and closing keynote speakers. (Submissions should be no more than 1,000 words using APA style citations in the language in which you presented)

Special issues of Journals: Based on the conference themes, we will be submitting proposals for special issues of journals in the field of African Studies. (Submissions should be between 6,000-8,000 words using APA style citations in the language in which you presented)

Edited Books: The edited books will also be based on the conference themes and will be edited, and peer reviewed by teams who have expertise in the field. and who participated in the AAPC@60 (Submissions are between 6,000-8000 words using APA style citations in the language in which you presented)

We invite you to send in your contributions to these publications. First, we invite you to submit a two-page summary of your paper for the conference proceedings if you were a plenary speaker or panelist.  If you would like to be considered for the edited volumes or the special issues, please submit your revised paper to be considered.

The following are the deadlines for the contributions:
